Gearbox analysis or geometric tooth volume testing

The primary objective of this test is to detect defects in the interlocking of gear teeth and installations such as in planetary gears, ship transmissions or gas turbines. Where conventional surface crack tests or the human eye fail, an ultrasonic examination can be utilized to identify potential inhomogeneities that can cause damage to gears and equipment, or even result in component failure. Based on the results obtained during the test, a meaningful assessment of the conditions of the gears is possible.
This minimizes downtime or gridlock.
